Monster-A-GoGo's Shock-O-Rama Poster Show RECREATION # 160--LAST ONE!

June 29, 2017, 09:57:36 PM

I am back from my road trip to Oregon for a wedding. It turned out better than I thought, but--UGH!--what an ordeal. But, while I was gone...what did I do? Picked up more crap I don't really need. So...here it is:

BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA (Advance teaser):

This was part of a lot I got a while back...just posting it to get it up and out of my hair.

NIGHT OF THE DEMONS:

I got this (and several others on here--look for the watermark) last night from Rich during one of his movieposterbid.com auctions. THANK YOU, Rich.

WARLOCK:

I probably already have this...it was inexpensive and I bid. Sold!

THE CHURCH:

Is this a one sheet or a video poster? I had NO IDEA it played theatrically in the USA if it is a one sheet. Zowie!

THE TOUCH OF SATAN:

I have been after one of these for ages, thinking it was the poster for a horror movie I saw advertised as a kid in San Jose. It's a CRAPPY movie...but the poster can be difficult to obtain. I got this one...but then I realized that (DUH!) this couldn't be the movie I thought was the one I saw a commercial for as this came out in 1974...and I was still living in San Jose when I saw the TV ad...and we moved in late 1971. Hmm.

SUPERMAN III (Review style):

God, SUPERMAN 3 was the WORST of the series---worse than Part 4!  Why would I bother? Simply because I have NEVER seen one of these posters before. I was intrigued. Who paid off TIME to write this kiss ass review? Ha!

GRAVE OF THE VAMPIRE:

Disappointing vampire flick starring Grindhouse legend William Smith.

THE BIRDS II:

So, I'll probably never own an original THE BIRDS poster...but here is the poster for the made for Showtime sequel, THE BIRDS II...which was awful and I'm sure many, many people have forgotten it or have no idea this movie ever existed. But I got the poster to prove it, baby! Whoopie...

PRISONER OF PARADISE:

This is a porn flick (hello? Seka? John Holmes?) that I've never seen. Why did I buy it? Well, I am under the impression that this is a porno knock off on the brief Nazisploitation craze of the 70s and early 80s. One of those completist purchases. I can only imagine what this movie must be like... Ha!

THE PROPHECY:

I know I saw this horror flick starring Christopher Walken in the theaters, but I can NOT remember a thing about the movie. And there were like 5 made for video sequels I believe---never saw any of them. This was part of a "lot" (like the first poster)

That's it for now. I'm just glad to be HOME! Thanks for visiting.

Have a groovy 4th!

CHEERS!

The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show 2024 #5

And I'm back... This, I think, will be my final post of new posters. I had a few leftover posters from last time...and got others to fill out this post and get this done. I can't afford anything anymore and really, with my diminishing health, I should STOP collecting.  TANYA'S ISLAND: This was a cheap grab. I've never seen the movie, but have long wanted this poster. It's so doofy looking. This movie has been on my radar since its release--and it is amazingly hard to find. (As I said, I have NOT seen it yet.) From what I understand, it's basically KING KONG, but with a normal-sized ape (aka man in a bad moneky suit--based on the pictures I've seen) and a bit naughtier. (Hence the R-rating.) D.D. Winters is better known as Vanity, Prince's protegee back in the 80s. She apparently spends a good deal of the time naked. It's supposed to be bad. (No surprise.) I'd still like to see it. HOT DOG: THE MOVIE: I don't know why I bought this. I'm...

The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show 2024 #4

Hello. Welcome back. Today's offerings are...rather unexciting for the most part. As I've said many times before, my poster-buying power has been greatly diminished. I fear my post-buying days are wrapping up, too. The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show may be finally coming to a close in the near future. For now though, here's the latest of what I have to share with you today: KING FRAT: This was a fairly cheap poster--but supposedly rather rare? But really, it's not much to look at. I bought it because... I remember when this obscurity came out. Although I never saw it, it appeared to be some low-rent ANIMAL HOUSE wannabe. I was always curious... I bought it on disk (with THE CHEERING SECTION) on a clearance sale for old CODE RED products. (I guess that company went out of business?) I haven't watched it yet as I read the disk was taken directly from two very badly worn VHS sources. Oh well. I'll get to it someday. Maybe. The poster will go in a drawer. Whoopie... STA...

The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show 2021 #11

Hi! Welcome to the 11th--and possibly LAST--- Shock-O-Rama Poster Show of the year --at least for several months. I'm busy packing for a move and up to my armpits in posters. (Details below.) UGH! I mean, I may buy more...but I don't have the time, money, and I want to be done with poster packing. Speaking of which, you may notice there is more than my usual 10 posters. Instead of holding back posters for some future posting (which may not be for months--if ever. My health issues keep rearing their ugly heads.), I'm posting everything I've gotten since last time. Take a peek or don't. I'm not feeling so well, which explains my rush to get this posted and the use of some online photos to illustrate today's posting. I'm going to go lay down. (Don't mind me...) Go ahead and take in the show: SHARKWATER EXTINCTION: I love the JAWS flicks, the rip-offs, and bad shark movies in general. This looks like it's probably a documentary--not a bad shark mov...
