Monster A GoGo's Shock-O-Rama Poster Show

  Welcome back!!! Ugh... It's so hard for me to do anything any more. I thought posters would take me out of myself--if only for a few minutes.They are usually a great distraction. But not now. I have too many aches and pains from my surgery. The severe neuropathey that has developed in my hands and fingers makes handlimg them difficult. Writing out commentary on these pages is painful and I make so many mistakes. But I still managed to get 10 to share with you. It's a mixture of trash and treasures. I hopr there is something here you'll enjoy... THE FOREST: This movie is garbage. I’ll say that up front. But somehow this 80’ fright flick’s poster works. (The poster is better than the film.) Welcome back! Believe it or not, I have another Shock-O-Rama Poster Show ready to share with you already...just days after posting the last one. It is not the most exciting batch ever, but there are a few trinkets you may like. Grab your popcorn, your Coke and your hot dog and make your way to your seat. The show is about to begin... THE LAST WAVE ( BLACK RAIN re-release?) : I always meant to see THE LAST WAVE, but I always had the feeling I would be bored by it and feel ripped off after all of the "It will scare the hell out of you" hype. This alternate title (re-release?) poster came to me in a lot. If anything, it re-awakened the interest in seeing the film. But will I follow through? Hmm... IT'S NOT THE SIZE THAT COUNTS: Vincent Price is in this? What???  Elke Sommer is as well, but she probably needed the work. This was also part of a lot purchase. Hi there. It's time for another "Classic Collection" installment---looking at posters I have had BEFORE I started sharing online. Today I am going with more of my framed stuff (most of which sits in a closet). Let's see what I dug up today.... GODZILLA'S REVENGE / ISLAND OF THE BURNING DAMNED (combo) : Believe it or not, NOT all of the original GODZILLA movies played in US theaters. GODZILLA'S REVENGE barely made it---as the top of a first-run double bill. This is one of the more silly ones---very kiddie friendly and features the SON of Godzilla (Minya---or something like that) as well as the Big G himself and a plethora of monsters. I never saw ISLAND OF THE BURNING DAMNED though... THE HAUNTING: It may be slow and old-fashioned, but this is my all-time favorite scary movie. Turn out the lights and watch this alone late at night. It's guaranteed to send chills up and down your spine. Great performances. Great scares. Great sets...
