Monster-A-GoGo's Shock-O-Rama Poster Show RECREATION # 95

May 15, 2016, 08:25:11 AM Hi there,  It's the middle of May 2016--ALREADY! Jeepers, this year is zooming on by. Here are my latest acquisitions for your perusal. I apologize about the emovieposter watermark on some of them, but the photo person there has not sent me my unmarked versions yet (watch them show up tomorrow. ha! No big deal. You can SEE what they look like anyway...) Okay---off to the posters (and a few non-poster surprises! Oh my!) 3 ON A MEATHOOK: I already have a copy or two of this poster, but when this one came up (and it was cheap), I just couldn't let it go. Hello? Despite the fact it is a butt-ugly poster and the movie is a pretty crappy (yet obscure) early 70s grindhouse turd-o-rama (supposedly based on the crimes of Ed Gein, the same Wisconsin wacko who was the basis for PSYCHO, TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and DERANGED), the poster is rare. Snagged it. TROUBLE MAKERS: My second Bowery Boys poster (after my recent purchase of THE BOWERY BOYS

May 04, 2016, 02:42:42 PM Hi there. Thanks for stopping by. I always enjoy it when people pop in and visit. Since it is still early in May (morning of the 4th as I write this...) and I already have too many posters (5 !!) since my last posting (just 3 days ago. EEK!), I'm going to go ahead and add these few up as well: EXORCIST II: THE HERETIC: I already have a copy of this. I got it simply because it was cheap and in a lot that included the poster below it. For years, EXORCIST 2 was considered one of the all-time worst movies ever made...which meant, of course, that I LOVED it. Ha! It's totally crap--but I dig it. It's reputation for being so bad has kind of been lifted after the excruciatingly awful 4th film EXORCIST: THE BEGINNING (as well as the planned/shelved/released anyway other Part 4...EXORCIST: DOMINION)...and any number of straight to video EXORCIST clone cheapies out today. SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT PART 2: Yes, I already have this poste

May 01, 2016, 02:01:06 PM  It's May---geez this year is just screaming by. EEEK! I hope everyone is well and that you've survived spring and are gearing up for a long, hot summer... (O' the horror!). Speaking of a long, hot summer.... I've postponed moving back into my house at the beginning of summer until September or early October. Why? To save on high electric bills during the hot summer months. Blah. Blah. Blah. I know it's the 1st---not the 15th. But--argh! I already have a bunch of posters for the month. I guess I'll have to do two posts...one now and another on the 15th. Here are the posters I got in the last month...er, few weeks: FAIR WIND TO JAVA: I already have a couple of copies of this poster. It was part of a lot with the poster below. There seems to be a good supply of this poster floating about, which keeps it pretty cheap. But, in my opinion, it's a stunning poster. The art work, the color (especially seeing it in person)--when

April 11, 2016, 06:42:50 PM Hi there and HAPPY APRIL! I'm a tad early as my birthday is Friday (April 15th---TAX DAY to all of you procrastinators out there), and I am heading for the coast for a long birthday weekend (starting with a night at the Madonna Inn in one of their cave rooms---always wanted to do that, so...I AM!). Anyway, happy April!  I hope your spring is sunny and full of fun (and amazing posters). I work the next two days--and then I'm off. I won't be buying anything between then and now--so here are the posters for the month: WINK OF AN EYE: I thought I had gotten this a while back--but apparently not. I guess I've just been flirting with the idea of getting it? I finally did get it to pad out the shipping of something below. I had never heard of the 1958 obscurity until I saw the poster. There is scant information about it online...not that i really care. The poster promises a "big switcheroo". If you look at the poster, i think I c

Monster-A-GoGo's Shock-O-Rama Poster Show RECREATION #91

April 02, 2016, 03:05:31 AM Hi there! It's NOT the middle of April yet. In fact, April is just getting started. Why am I posting early? Well, it's because it's the anniversary of my own thread. Jeepers! It was one year ago today (April 2, 2015) that I started this thread. And, zowie! Look at how it has grown. 28 pages of poster images and your comments! That is amazing to me. It's been a super duper year---and I've loved every minute of it. Thanks for welcoming and including me here. I have a new crop of posters to share too. In fact, i have more posters than i planned on having for this post. OOPS. I bought several posters I did NOT need...In fact, the real shock-a-rama thing about this poster show posting is how non-shock-a-rama it is for the most part. Okay--poster time: HOT NEWS: From 1953, here's another obscure movie I'd never heard of until seeing the one sheet. I had wanted a copy of this while working at The Fresno Bee (newspaper) as a w
