The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show 2020 #21

Hello! Welcome back to a most unexpected new edition of the Shock-O-Rama Poster Show! Why unexpected? Because I wasn't going to buy any posters for a while due to an upcoming move. However, against my better judgement, I bought another poster "lot". Most of the posters were crap (and I WILL spare you those). I was after one specific poster, of course...and got the other (mostly) trash just for that one title. In addition, since I got the lot, I picked up a couple of other things (since I knew I'd now need to pull a post together). What that means is---oh JOY!--only 8 of these posters (instead of all 10) are from the lot. So don't expect to be blown away (at all)! While I'm at it, another post of projects I've been working on has been sitting idle for a long, long while. I've decided to tack it on at the bottom of this post. I'll explain why I added it when we get there. Okay---let's get into this thing and get it over with: JOY ...

The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show 2019 Special Edition 4: Top 10 Poster Purchases During 2019

Every year, a movie poster collecting site I belong to ( AllPosterForum.com or APF) puts up a post inviting members to re-post their favorite purchases throughout the year. With 2019 coming to a close, I thought I'd get a jump on this year's post. (I'm done buying/posting for this year, anyway). Here, in reverse order, are my Top 10 favorite poster purchases for the year. 10) SHE FREAK: This was a tough call. It almost went to the poster for the Ray Milland/Rosey Grier schlock epic THE THING WITH TWO HEADS or the cheesy bargain basement 50's thriller THE KILLER SHREWS or maybe even the FLESH FOR FRANKENSTEIN British Quad. Phew! But this colorful grindhouse classic won its place on the list because the movie is so fun in all of the wrong ways. 9) HOW TO MAKE A MONSTER: The unofficial third part of the I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF and I WAS A TEENAGE FRANKENSTEIN series (as actors portraying both monsters are in this!). Wild artwork. That kni...

The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show 2019 # 23

Happy holidays. I know this is a busy time for everyone, but DON'T PANIC... I'm NOT going to take up that much time. In fact, there are fewer posters (just 5) in today's post than the usual 10. Why? Because due to financial issues (those way too expensive Excalibur Auction purchases last time---plus the way too expensive shipping for them coupled with a very expensive purchase somewhere below DID NOT help situations) and health problems, I think that...unless something really awesome comes along...these will be my final poster purchases. Forever? Hopefully not...but for a long, long time, any way.  (Although, I still intend to post updates on projects I'm working on around the house, etc.) So let's take a gander at my last (for now) set. BLACK CHRISTMAS (2019) : I soooooo did NOT need this. However, I have the poster for the original (under the SILENT NIGHT, EVIL NIGHT title) and the first remake (which wasn't all that long ago...or was it?). Why no...
