Monster A GoGo's Shock-O-Rama Poster Show

  Hello. Welcome back. As I told you last time, I had enough posters for another quick post. I bought a lot of, mostly, crap between this post and the previous one. For the most part, they were cheapish. Although most of them, I realize, I will never hang and will probably end up getting rid of. There’s nothing all that fabulous here. The first two especially are pretty lame. Take a look or don’t. Like the last batch, I am less than proud of this post, so let’s quickly run through and get it done.., BEYOND DARKNESS (video) :   This cheap-o video poster is not much. Known in its home country, Italy, as La Casa 5, it’s better known around the world as BEYOND DARKNESS. The flick tells the story of a priest and his family who move into a house where, unbeknownst to them,  20 witches were burned to death. AMITYVILLE HORROR-type phenomena appears.For years I got this flick confused with SUPERSTITION, which is also an over-the-top haunted house flick about a family being terror...

  Happy 2025!! As I write this, we are four days into the new year. I have not finished collecting whatever ten posters I’ll end up sharing with you yet, but I have a good start. I wanted to begin ASAP just in case I can acquire more posters and get this up before my surgery on January 22nd. It’s a BIG surgery (removing a third of my esophagus, all of my stomach, and re-routing my small intestine to the remaining portion of my esophagus). I might not survive it.  But, welcome to the Shock-O-Rama Poster Show anyway! I hope you enjoy it.  MOANA 2: This was a free one. It has some dings...but was still free. Never saw the movie or the original. The poster shown below is NOT my copy.  RED ONE (Adv?) : I never saw this recent release either. I stumbled on this (inexpensive) poster and was fooled at first. I didn't realize it picture of a poster...and the trompe l'oeil aspect of it appealed to me. So, I got it.  (And did I mention it was inexpensive?) DEATHROW GAMESHO...

Well, 2024 is coming to a close. It's time once again to go through the year's purchases and touch on the favorites I picked up through the year. This was a light year for purchases for me--and next year I expect will be even more sparse, if there are any at all. But I was able to eek out 10 (actually 11) faves for 2024 and here they are: (Honorable Mention) HOUSE OF THE DEAD: I don't have much this year to warrant an "honorable mention". I would probably have used this poster in the #10 spot...except the one there I had been after for sooooo long (despite the movie turning out to be snore-inducing when I finally saw it). This poster I had never seen before--not am I familair with the movie. it probably sucks, but I liked the artwork on the poster---so that is why I chose to include it--honorable mention or not. 10):   THE MONSTER OF PIEDRAS BLANCAS  and  OKEFENOKEE  (combo) : I have been after this poster for decades--long before I ever saw the yawn-inducing film...

  Welcome back! I certainly NEVER expected to be back with another Shock-O-Rama Poster Show, yet here I am. Sure, maybe a "special edition" (about hanging posters or framing them, etc.) would have popped up--but one with "new" posters? No. I have cancer and have been going through chemo for the last four months. Why buy posters if I wind up dead? I resisted for a long time, but...here I am, binging (and mostly on CRAP!). There are 14 here...instead of my ususual 10. I haven't been keeping track of the (utter trash) I've been buying. So, as best I can figure out, for better or worse (mostly worse), these are my new purchases since May or June. I am pulling this together as I realized it's the end of the year--and a "best of 2024" should happen. O' the fun... NOT!   Oh, hi there. You caught me. I was supposed to be away visiting California until February 17th. However, I had to come back home for something unexpectedly. I'll be here another 2 weeks before I head back to California to finish out my planned visit. Boring stuff, I know. But, since you ARE here... I guess I could show you what I have added to my collection since we were last together several months ago. I have to be quick though as I only have a little time here. Ohhh! There go the lights. Take a seat. The show is beinging... DYNASTY (3D) : The poster shown below is not mine. I couldn't go back and save the image as it has been months since I got this.
