The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show 2020 #14

Welcome back. Today's Shock-O-Rama Poster Show still finds us mired in auction lot purchase poster land...and we have some dismal (and not so dismal) posters to lay your eyes upon...if you bother to proceed. The show is about to start. Please make your way to the theater. No running. Watch your step... WALK OF THE DEAD: It took me a while to figure out what this movie really was. It was an auction lot purchase, of course. I have other copies of this from other lot purchases in the past. But WALK OF THE DEAD? Never heard of it other than the poster. Hmm. I saw the star was Richard Nashy...couldn't find him, but went with a hunch. Could it be Spanish horror star Paul Naschy with a lost-in-translation name? I looked on IMDB and sure enough there it was, listed as an alternate title for 1973's VENGEANCE OF THE ZOMBIES. Mystery solved. SCORE: This was in one of my recent lot purchases. For some reason I've seen this boring (and orange!) poster go...

The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show 2020 #4

Hello there! You are just in time. I've been perusing the newspaper ads again, looking for some deliriously wild movies to check out. I've got the posters for 10 prospects below. Let's take a look at them and see if anything strikes your fancy...or maybe bites your fancy? EEEK! Not all of them are horror, but try to keep an open mind. I'll save you a seat if you want to quickly rush to the snack bar. Just mind the sticky floor when you come back. Ready? Got your Jujubes and Junior Mints? Thanks for getting me a Coke Icee. Okay, sit down. The show is starting now... PARANORMAN (Canadian) : I think I already have the very similar US one sheet. I saw this flick in the theater (I was the only adult there that was not accompanied by children. Ha!). I don't remember much about it--except there were zombies in it. But the poster is fun and it was cheap ($3). Why not? DISASTER: I have a couple of copies of this old, forgotten disaster movi...

The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show 2019 # 23

Happy holidays. I know this is a busy time for everyone, but DON'T PANIC... I'm NOT going to take up that much time. In fact, there are fewer posters (just 5) in today's post than the usual 10. Why? Because due to financial issues (those way too expensive Excalibur Auction purchases last time---plus the way too expensive shipping for them coupled with a very expensive purchase somewhere below DID NOT help situations) and health problems, I think that...unless something really awesome comes along...these will be my final poster purchases. Forever? Hopefully not...but for a long, long time, any way.  (Although, I still intend to post updates on projects I'm working on around the house, etc.) So let's take a gander at my last (for now) set. BLACK CHRISTMAS (2019) : I soooooo did NOT need this. However, I have the poster for the original (under the SILENT NIGHT, EVIL NIGHT title) and the first remake (which wasn't all that long ago...or was it?). Why no...
