Monster A GoGo's Shock-O-Rama Poster Show

  And, what!?! We're B-A-C-K!!! That was...quick. (It just seems that way as I delayed the previous post until I finished my write up on my Something Weird Video adrventure, which I had linked to the page. I've already been working on this one for several weeks.) Truth be told, though, about half of these became mine in a 12 hour period. It is no secret that I am now disabled. I live on a VERY modest income with very little in the bank to fall back on. There is a saying, "You can't take it with you." There should also be a saying that says "You can't enjoy it if you don't have it." That seemed to have been my mindset during a recent eMovieposter auction. Despite the fact that everything was on linen--there were so many titles I wanted. Things were fairly cheap...until the very end. But... Geez! Dipping into my meager savings was... Welcome back to the Shock-O-Rama Poster Show! Today I have a mixed bag for you---something (well, a LOT of things...) old and something new. It may not be the most exciting batch I've ever presented---but it's not the worst. Take a look....if you DARE! THE BIRDS (Promo mask) : Yes-- ANOTHER one. This one was surprisingly the cheapest of the three I now own. Crazy. I didn't need it but I bid anyway (thinking I would NOT get it.) Of the previous two, one was just not up to the standards I had hoped it would be....so I have this to replace it. Hopefully it is in better shape. MURDER ON THE CAMPUS: This is a nothing poster. I had one of these before. When I was getting ready to move, I sent it (with a zillion other posters--thanks/sorry Bruce!) to eMovieposter.com to auction. I never dreamed they'd auction this title separately. But they did and it sold for a resounding $8...of which I got a staggering 25%. ($2) Ha! Oh well. But there was something inherently lame about ...

  Welcome back to the Shock-O-Rama Poster Show. And guess what? I am finally MOVED! I have new (to me) naked walls to fill up with my amazing posters. Hooray! My house is on a hillside and there is this one bedroom-sized room in the basement (It's not really a basement--but there's nothing down there except the garage--which I do not use--and this one room) that I hope to eventually transform into a home tiki bar. The stairway down to it, I intend to try and make look jungle-y with vines and tiki-esque decor. As a way to incorporate my love of movie posters with tiki, I plan on framing and hanging some of my jungle-themed posters in the stairway. Things, like some of my TARZAN posters or my recent ZOMBIES ON BROADWAY half sheet, or even my JUNGLE HEADHUNTERS one sheet or posters like HULA HULA will work. But I am getting way ahead of myself.
