Monster A GoGo's Shock-O-Rama Poster Show

HAPPY NEW YEAR, everyone. I hope your holiday season was festive and fabulous. To kick off the new year I have some new (to me) posters, Whoo hoo! Here's the countdown: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... Happy new posters!!!! Have some champagne and let's take a look: NEW YEAR'S EVIL: I already have a couple of copies of this and didn't need another. However, what better way to start off a new poster year than with a New Year's-themed movie poster? NEW YEAR'S EVIL was an early holiday horror flick, cashing in on the success of HALLOWEEN, hot on the heels of PROM NIGHT, MOTHER'S DAY, and FRIDAY THE 13TH (all from 1980). Roz Kelly is best known for playing Fonzie's girlfriend Pinky Tuscadero on HAPPY DAYS for a couple of episodes. She has since sunk into obscurity (much like this film). Happy new year! Welcome to 2019 and a whole new year of poster collecting! Oh boy, what treasures will we find this year? Below you will find my first new pieces of precious paper for the new year. Granted, some (most?) were purchased in late 2018, but they are making their debut here for the first time! Let's take a peek... THE CLASS REUNION: Another of the ED WOOD-penned nudie flicks for AC STEPHEN. I didn't realize it at the time I purchased this, but I ALREADY HAVE a copy of this poster. Oh well. It's always nice to have a spare, I guess. It was cheap anyway... THE SNOW BUNNIES: Speaking of ED WOOD-penned nudies for AC STEPHEN, here is another one...THE SNOW BUNNIES! April 19, 2017, 08:43:43 AM Mini-BONUS Post time! (Only a few items left before my summer sabbatical...): A DATE WITH DEATH: I'm a sucker for a gimmick. PSYCHORAMA was a cool gimmick that used subliminal imagery to create scares, feelings of dread, happiness, etc. (I heard it disappeared because it was banned--fear that using subliminal suggestions like this would lead to making people do things they wouldn't normally do...or maybe it just gave people a headache?) There were TWO movies that used this process; MY WORLD DIES SCREAMING (re-released under the better title with a better poster as TERROR IN THE HAUNTED HOUSE) and this flick, A DATE WITH DEATH. Like a lot of other movies I have posters for, I have NOT seen either flick. I've had chances to, but I am waiting to HOPEFULLY see them in TRUE PSYCHORAMA some day (Rhino released a version with fake psychorama back in the vhs era.Ha!)
