Monster A GoGo's Shock-O-Rama Poster Show

  Welcome back to the Shock-O-Rama Poster Show! Okay...so, it's only been two amd a half months since the last post. Better than I would have anticipated...but it still feels like a million years since we were all last here. As usual, there's some crap on display...but also some better stuff. (Well, I think it's "better stuff" anyway.) Let's take a peek-a-boo-a-gogo, shall we? Here's what I've got for you this time: NAKED FLAME/OPERATION CROSS EAGLE (combo) : Okay--NOT the best poster ever. Although the top half has a great tag line ("Nude protests erupt in flaming violence"), the real reason I bought this snoozer of a double bill is because of where it came from. As a lover of odd, strange, obscure, cheesy, grindhouse movies, I have been a huge fan of the video distribution company SOMETHING WEIRD VIDEO. Through Something Weird , I finally got to see movies by HG Lewis, Doris Wishman, Joe Sarno, etc. I saw bizarre-O sexploitation flicks, c...

 It's that time of the year again--the END. While 2021 was a better year than 2020, it still had a lot to be desired. But that's not to say it was a bad year for poster acquisitions---at least from my perspective. I didn't buy all that many---certainly far fewer than in previous years. However, in preparing this list and looking back on what I got in 2021, I was really pleased with what I had scored.  The ones I've added to this year's list are my favorite pickups. Some things will be noticeably absent, such as my original STAR WARS or CHINATOWN or even the obvious horror hit HALLOWEEN KILLS. While all of those are nice (as are many others I picked up as well), the ones below are the ones that really "did it" for me. Take a gander, if you will. Greetings! And welcome back to the Shock-O-Rama Poster Show! My stars! The clock is ticking on my upcoming move--and what do I do? Buy MORE posters! UGH! Here then, quickly, is a look at what I picked up in my last days left in California. It's not much, but... HERE it is: VILLAGE PEOPLE - RENAISSANCE (Album promotional poster ): Ha! Ha! Ha! I just have to laugh. On a Sunday evening, after an exhausting, full day of packing for my move, I got an invoice from Movie Poster Exchange. Of all of the things I had bid on, the ONLY poster I had won was this crazy craptastic Village People poster for the promotion of their (forgotten) album RENAISSANCE. So why would I bid on this? Well, just look at it. Too funny. It's no secret I like trash. I came to "discover" (if that is the right term) the Village People LONG after they were off of anyone's radar.
