Monster A GoGo's Shock-O-Rama Poster Show

  Hi there. Welcome back. I’ve got some new stuff to share…such as it is. Bunch of it is stuff I’ve forgotten to post in the past.There really isn’t that much to see. I kind of rushed through it because of that. Take a look or don’t. I’m not feeling all that fab today anyway so… It really doesn’t matter to me. Oh, the lights are dimming. It’s your last chance to leave. Otherwise, let the show begin… HENRY & JUNE: Normally, I would’ve passed on this poster. However, I realized it was the very first NC-17 movie ever released. So, for historical purposes, I thought why not? It was cheap. I never saw the movie though. THE COMPUTER WORE TENNIS SHOES: I may already have this. I don’t know. This is one of the Kurt Russell / Dexter Riley Disney flicks from the early 70s. I think they were a continuation of the Tommy Kirk Merlin Jones films… At least that at the same college or whatever, but with the younger actor/character. I’ve never seen them.   Welcome back! While I still have a few outstanding bids as I write this (and I’ll probably be outbid on all of it), I believe my bidding/buying mania has subsided. Thank goodness. Barring wins on those few things still outstanding, this will hopefully be my LAST post (at least of new purchases. I’m working on one on going through my poster rolls, framing, etc.) for a long while. So, I hope you already grabbed your Goobers and Jujubes  because the show is starting now. Why wait??? The lights are dimming… BRING HER BACK : I already got one of these, not too long back, but it got damaged in the mail. This one apparently has a slight damage to the upper side, but I risked it anyway. I haven’t seen the movie although I know it’s out now. It will probably never come to my town. But this poster kind of creeps me out.   Hi there. Yes, I’m back again. Really, I was in a weird, crazed buying frenzy recently. I have enough posters for at least one and a half more posts… But I’ll try to pace myself and hold back a bit. These aren’t that exciting. Actually, neither is the next batch. The batch after that has one or two things I’m especially excited about, but we’ll have to see what trickles in to fill the rest of that post up. But I’m getting ahead of myself. We are on this post. Welcome back. Now that the James Bond stuff is out of the way (see my last post), I can trudge to some B-movie stuff. A lot of this stuff came from lot purchases. I have a lot of these posters already, and have shared them in previous posts. Not all of the posters from the various lot purchases will be shared. Don’t panic. I’ve just decided to share these as a way to look back at these B-flicks and reflect on them a bit. THE MEPHISTO WALTZ: This was an early movie in the 70s satanic panic cycle, that was started with ROSEMARY’S BABY in the mid 60s. If you haven’t seen it, you’re not really missing much. What I do remember most from the commercials was a dog with a human head. Imagine my annoyance when it just turned out to be a dog with a mask on its head that someone placed on it as a joke. There was no “human headed” dog in the plot. Alan Alda I identify so much with being Hawkeye on M*A*S*H, that it’s hard to see him in this movie. Hi there. Welcome back to the Shock-O-Rama Poster Show. The last time we met, I announced that I was stepping back from poster shopping for a while---and was actually planning to weed out my collection and send stuff off to auction, as I was getting into dire financial straits. Then the coronavirus situation happened. Crap. Selling things is on hold. Because I am a nurse and will probably have to deal with the virus directly in the very near future, I decided to go ahead and prep the next Shock-O-Rama Poster Show (even though there isn't much in it) in case I get sick. I am older, with underlying health issues and male...in other words, I fit the profile of 70% of those who have died so far. Yep, I'm SCREWED. Is this my swan song? I certainly hope NOT.
