August 21, 2015, 12:27:48 AM I'm back...with another batch of old (NOT "new purchases") stuff I am transferring over to All Poster Forum I had posted elsewhere. This is stuff I got in 2015 but from BEFORE starting my page here. CHILDREN SHOULDN'T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS: One of my long-time quests paid off in January with the acquisition of the "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things" poster. I love early zombie posters (between "Night of the Living Dead" and the glut in the early 80s just after "Zombie") and I've wanted this poster for ages. However, when I finally got it, I discovered it was a little more damaged and stained than I'd anticipated (Not nearly as nice as the one shown---this must be an image pulled from elsewhere on the 'net). I am just trying to move all of the images from the one page I had on that other website I started to this one. These are all  things I bought in 2015, but before I joined allposterforum. Here we go--first batch: THE MAN WHO CRIED WOLF: First, I am most thrilled with this poster acquisition from earlier this year---and it is 78 years old! It's Universal's "The Man Who Cried Wolf"! In 1937, Universal already had "Dracula" (1931), "Frankenstein" (1931), "The Mummy" (1932) and "The Invisible Man" (1933) under its belt. "The Wolfman" wouldn't show up until 1941, but it was still a time when the studio, which was doing very well with horror thrillers (and their sequels), was at its peak. August 11, 2015, 07:34:06 PM As I was going through mail yesterday (I had it held while I was on my trip. It all arrived yesterday), I opened a box of posters that I had completely forgotten about (so dazed was I by the fallout from the Heritage auctions...). The day of the Heritage auctions, another poster auction was closing. I had put in some snipes for things and promptly forgotten about them. I "won" 3 of them--and apparently paid for them as well--but have zero memory of it all. Ha! Anyway--here are the three bonus posters I had forgotten I had won. Again, these are NOT "new" posters since the Heritage fiasco. These are same day auctions I bid on before Heritage wiped me out.  Enjoy or don't. Cheers... August 11, 2015, 01:11:32 AM Okay...I don't know what the hell I've been stalling for, but here is the story of those last three posters...that has stopped me COLD from bidding (or even looking) on other posters. (To skip the sob story, skip down to the row of these: ******) I have been struggling to pay off financial aid loans and credit card debt I accrued while going to nursing school and not working (I had been a writer for the newspaper, but they would not let me work part time. I couldn't handle full time and school so...). The student loans are slowly, slowly shrinking. The credit card debt I actually was able to pay off a big chunk of when I refinanced one of my houses last November. Once I joined the forum (last January), I learned about a few other options out there of where to acquire posters and was feeling a bit more confidant financially. THE SPECTRE OF EDGAR ALLAN POE: First off...something I have no idea why I bought it (and I certainly have no memory of even buying it...but it's here), THE SPECTRE OF EDGAR ALLAN POE. I know NOTHING about this movie and the poster make it look like low budget crap. Oh well. (And yes, I am still in a grumpy mood...) THE TINGLER: Finally mine--after a zillion years of hunting for one--is William Castle's gimmick-a-go-go flick-a-rama classic, "THE TINGLER"! Hot diggity. I'll post a picture, ta;l about it a little bit and let you guess--was this something I got in a LOT ("LOT") or was this something I bought intentionally ("NOT").
