The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show 2017 #2 -- MORE Movie Posters*#

It's poster time again. I have to tell you, since Photobucket screwed up my thread on APF, I am just so lost and bewildered. I don't know what I have/don't have. My heart has totally NOT been in it, as far as collecting goes. I've reverted back to picking up basically crap again. Here are the latest pick ups---mostly trash and/or repeats of stuff I am sure I already have...with a small gem or two as well. Take a look or don't. Let's head off to the poster dance party:

THE TOUCH OF SATAN:

Seemingly riding on the coattails of THE EXORCIST ("A story of EXORCISM!"), but the film is from 1971...a few years before THE EXORCIST. However, the runaway hit novel came out in 1971, and that could explain the caption (unless this poster is a re-release?). Anyway, i got this poster as i THINK this is the movie that's TV ad scared me as a child. Tracking it down years later, the movie is yawn-inducing. Oh well. It's still a fun poster. I probably already have it...

AUNTIE MAME:
Drat! I had no idea this was a re-release. It wasn't listed as one. But if I had just bothered to LOOK at the poster, i'd have seen "All set to convulse all America all over again". Clearly a re-release. Oh well.  I've done dumber things than buy re-releases...

DRACULA: PRINCE OF DARKNESS:
Speaking of poster i might already have, here is this Hammer Dracula poster. The Hammer Dracula posters really could have been so much better...

GIDGET GOES HAWAIIAN:
I already have GIDGET GOES TO ROME and now this one. That just leaves the original GIDGET poster left to get.

GREASE (ADVANCE):
I had one of these back in the day. I won tickets to the local premiere of "GREASE" and they gave out ROLLED copies of this poster as prizes (along with foam "dice" to hang from your rear-view mirror). My poster was (stupidly) hung up on my wall (with tape!) and proceeded to get ruined over time. It was thrown away---and now they are pretty costly to buy. I finally got a replacement (although this one is tri-folded, not rolled).

THE HOUSE OF EXORCISM (AUSTRALIAN):
I love my EXORCIST rip-offs. This one is one of my faves. It started off as LISA AND THE DEVIL and then was recut, had some scenes added to cash in on the EXORCIST craze and voila...HOUSE OF EXORCISM. I have the US once sheet but have had my eye on this Australian version for years.

SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION:
Another of Tobe Hooper's flops. Great material to mine, but with disappointing results. Utterly forgettable. A "lot" purchase.

MORGAN STEWART'S COMING HOME:
Jon Cryer in some 80s trash. Whoopie. This was part of a lot.

PHANTOM OF THE OPERA:
Robert "Freddy Kreuger" Englund's venture as the PHANTOM OF THE OPERA was a gory remake cashing in on the musical's success at the time---but this is NOT the musical. Decent, but nothing to write home about. Another "lot" purchase.

INVASION OF THE BLOOD FARMERS:
What is not to love about this title? I already have this poster, but for some reason felt compelled to buy another. I liked this movie. It was low budget and largely forgotten, but I thought it was fun.

THE CONCORDE AFFAIR (ITALIAN):
Yopu gotta love the Italians. They have NO SHAME when it comes to ripping off movies. They have infamously made fake sequels to things like "DAWN OF THE DEAD" and "ALIEN" with mixed results. This bogus sequel to the AIRPORT series cashed in on the REAL entry for 1979, THE CONCORDE: AIRPORT '79. with the title, year and type of plane. I've heard it is pretty awful, but I really want to see it some day. Ha!

CAPTIVE WOMEN II: ORGIES OF THE DAMNED (JAPANESE):
I'm NOT sure exactly which Nazisploitation flick this is. Emovie, where I got this, listed it under the title shown above. It also said it is known as "NAZI EXPERIMENT LOVE CAMP". I'm sure I've seen this, just not under any of those titles. Hmm. http://www.allposterforum.com/index.php(They all blend together in my head anyway.)  Whatever. Forgive the watermark and the censored bits. I have the unwatermarked/uncensored photo, but thought it best to post it censored on here.

JOURNEY INTO THE BEYOND:
Another "lot" buy. A Mondo-type documentary. Never seen it.

JOURNEY TO THE BEGINNING OF TIME:
Just when I thought I had all of my Childhood Productions kiddie matinee posters, i stumble on this one. And zowie! What is this one? A little research shows this to be a Russian (?) flick about some kids who go down a river and back in time---kind of like "LAND OF THE LOST" in a way. Apparently this was released in a serialized format and then later re-released as a kiddie matinee by Childhood Productions. i think i might need to track this down.

MAN-EATER (re-release of SHARK):
Hot on the heels of the success of JAWS came this re-titled, re-release of "SHARK", starring a young Burt Reynolds who, in the 70s', was Mr. Box-Office Gold. However, I do NOT think this re-release drummed up the business it was hoping to. I had NEVER even heard of it until years later when i saw the poster. Incidentally, "SHARK" was notorious in its day. LIFE magazine had sent a photographer along to the set of the shoot and captured photos of a stunt man attacked and killed by a real shark.

ROOM 328:
A film by Mother Goose Lickers? Okay... This is a super rare poster from some moldy oldie gay porn flick from the 70s. These old posters are impossible to find, so I am hoping I can turn around and sell this puppy down the road for a pretty penny at some point.

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE?:
Here is my prize in this batch. Yahoo. I've been wanting/needing one of these for a long while. CLASSIC!

WINGS OF THE HAWK (3D):
Finally, although I already have a copy, here is a vintage 3D poster from the 1950's. LOVE it!

That's it for now. I am still trying to puzzle out what to do since  this whole Photobucket mess happened. For now, I am here.

CHEERS! Thank you for bothering to visit.

The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show 2023: #10

Welcome back! I certainly did NOT expect to have any further posts with new purchases this 2023 calendar year, but here we are. Granted, most of these are holdover purchases from my temporary poster-buying insanity in October. I’d expected those to be the foundation for whatever post I kicked off the new year with. But now? I had a few more pick ups… Why hold back? Let’s send 2023 out with a real BANG! Christmas came a little early this year. Uh oh… The lights are dimming. Take your seats. Let’s see what I have for you this time… GIRL IN GOLD BOOTS:  Not a great poster, but one I’ve been after for a while. This flick is an exploitationer from legendary B man Ted V. Mikels (CORPSE GRINDERS, ASTRO-ZOMBIES, BLOOD ORGY OF THE SHE-DEVILS, etc.). I saw it years ago. I don’t remember much other than that there is a girl (who wears gold go-go boots) who is a dancer (and maybe sings?) and is somehow involved in the criminal underworld. Like a lot of Mikels’ films…it doesn’t leave an indelible m

Welcome! Get your tickets and take your seat. The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show is about to begin. I am still disabled and only getting worse…yet, uh, um…I’m spending money on my ADDICTION to posters that I really have NO BUSINESS doing. Why? Because I am STUPID. (But I LOVE staring at them…) Waaaaagh! Anyway—-my stupidity is your viewing pleasure (or however you want to term it…).  Here we go… THE LADY IN THE MORGUE (1942 RE-RELEASE) : This isn't something that I'd usually buy. I've never seen this old mystery/whodunit flick. Despite this being a re-release poster (The original, with completely different art, hails from 1938.), I decided to go ahead and buy this 81-year-old gem for several reasons. I like the monster-ish hands reaching in at the couple. I dig the purple/green color scheme. The old school font is awesome...and one of its co-stars is Barbara Pepper, who brilliantly played Mrs. Ziffel (Arnold the pig's "mom") on GREEN ACRES. Ha! The most important r

And, what!?! We're B-A-C-K!!! That was...quick. (It just seems that way as I delayed the previous post until I finished my write up on my Something Weird Video adrventure, which I had linked to the page. I've already been working on this one for several weeks.) Truth be told, though, about half of these became mine in a 12 hour period. It is no secret that I am now disabled. I live on a VERY modest income with very little in the bank to fall back on. There is a saying, "You can't take it with you." There should also be a saying that says "You can't enjoy it if you don't have it." That seemed to have been my mindset during a recent eMovieposter auction. Despite the fact that everything was on linen--there were so many titles I wanted. Things were fairly cheap...until the very end. But... Geez! Dipping into my meager savings was... EXTREMELY STUPID and FOOLISH.  But, it happened. Let's take a look: PRO BALL CHEERLEADERS: What the hell is this
