The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show 2025 #11

Welcome back. Now that the James Bond stuff is out of the way (see my last post), I can trudge to some B-movie stuff. A lot of this stuff came from lot purchases. I have a lot of these posters already, and have shared them in previous posts. Not all of the posters from the various lot purchases will be shared. Don’t panic. I’ve just decided to share these as a way to look back at these B-flicks and reflect on them a bit. THE MEPHISTO WALTZ: This was an early movie in the 70s satanic panic cycle, that was started with ROSEMARY’S BABY in the mid 60s. If you haven’t seen it, you’re not really missing much. What I do remember most from the commercials was a dog with a human head. Imagine my annoyance when it just turned out to be a dog with a mask on its head that someone placed on it as a joke. There was no “human headed” dog in the plot. Alan Alda I identify so much with being Hawkeye on M*A*S*H, that it’s hard to see him in this movie. At least for me, this is an instance where it’s har...

The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show 2025 #10

And you came back…because of course you did. While I appreciate your curiosity, there’s not much to see here today. It’s a special all James Bond post…that’s NOT that special. It’s all posters I already have (well, except for two of them…). I came across a lot of all of these Bond posters and thought why not? Hmm. Should have passed… Prepare to be underwhelmed.  TOMORROW NEVER DIES ( video ): Of the Pierce Brosnan Bond era, TOMORROW NEVER DIES was my least favorite adventure. This video poster (for a freakin’ Bond movie) is as weak as they come. (Add only because I didn’t have one yet. Snore…) QUANTUM OF SOLACE: Of the Daniel Craig era Bonds, this was my least favorite. Although it’s a direct sequel to Casino Royale, it just sort of went nowhere. At least that was my take away. I’m glad it was still a hit and insured future Daniel Craig installments. NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN: Thunderball was never my favorite Sean Connery Bond movie. Although there was enough to like about it t...

The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show 2025 #9

Yes, I am back. Already. Oh my stars. My buying frenzy does NOT seem to be waning at all. Dang. Here’s a look at the stuff that I salvaged, er… picked and added to my collection this time. (Whoopie…) Take a look. It does end on a (very) good note, though.  HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER 2-  MASK OF SANITY ( video ): LAME. poster —-and a video poster at that. Did this ever play theatrically? It was not NEARLY as good as the original (and I only a video poster for that), but now I have both.  SEXTETTE: I have one of these, but…it has some issues. Hopefully I’m trading up with this copy. This is an awful movie…but it boggles my mind that it was even made. Mae West (in her first film in decades and also her LAST film) stars an 80-something woman on her honeymoon with her latest husband, (a very young) Timothy Dalton. Ringo Starr. George Hamilton, Tony Curtis, Alice Cooper, and others show up. They are all either Mae’s ex-husbands or former suitors who are still wil...

The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show 2025 #8

Hi there. Welcome back to the Shock-O-Rama Poster Show. Yes, I’m back again. And I know it hasn’t been that long…  I don’t know what my problem is. I have been buying posters… and, for the most part, not that good of posters… like a mad man; like I have any money at all. Ugh!!! Someone slap me upside the head—PLEASE! What is wrong with me? This HAS to stop!  But we’re here… We might as well take a look while I try to calm down. (But that won’t be easy. I think I already have enough for still another post right after this one… Or soon after! Damn! And Damn me!) Take your seats. The show begins now…. THE BRADY BUNCH MOVIE: I love me some Brady Bunch. The movie version, at least this first one, was great. I already have a copy of this poster… (Maybe more than one?) However, when I was going through my posters recently, trying to get them organized, I discovered that my copy of the poster (at least the one I came across—as I said, I may have others) was (GASP!) FOLDED! How...

The Shock-O-Rama Poster Show 2025 #7

Welcome back…#*$@!!!  What am I doing back here so soon? I don’t know… I don’t know what is wrong with me. I am so beyond broke. Two longtime friends just died with in a few days of each other of cancer—one of them a year younger than me with basically the same cancer I have/had. I am still undergoing treatments  for my cancer and as I write this, I just don’t feel right. And yet here I am with another batch of new (to me ) posters. What am I doing? I have NO IDEA… Grr! I know you probably hit the snack bar to have something fun to do while you sit through one of my dreary Shock-O-Rama poster shows. This will be quick because the titles just aren’t that exciting. Your snack bar treats won’t even be cold by the time we get through. Promise! Anyway, let’s get this over with… CAT VIDEO FEST 2024: Yes, this is apparently a real poster from a real theatrical event. Why would I buy this? I’ll never hang it. I don’t know. I just don’t know. I don’t even have a cat. I’m more of...
